Vitamin water.. Good for you? or Clever marketing?

In a health/diet obessed society it was a very clever idea for the company owned by coca cola to market a drink 'full of vitamins' convincing naive consumers that drinking the product was in the best intrests for their health.
A vitamin infused drink might seem like a good idea..but most people are not vitamin deficent and those who are, are certainly not advised to make up their deficency by drinking this drink...
So if you are eating a balanced diet  their is no need for you to have these extra vitamins (assuming there are any in this sugar heavy drink), your body will just dispose of them.
My limited knowledge also allows me to understand that different vitamins are absorbed differently.. there are 2 groups water soulable and fat soulable.Vitamin C and the B complex group are water-soluble and can easily enter the bloodstream with water. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble. That means they can only enter the bloodstream to carry out their functions if they are dissolved in dietary fat, like that found in a meal.
So unless you prefer vitaminwater to wine with your meal, vitamins A and E will pass largely unused into your city’s septic system.
Each bottle of vitaminwater contains 32.5 grams, or two heaping tablespoons, of crystalline fructose.

what the experts say...
“The way that vitaminwater is marketed and positioned it’s made to look more healthful than other sugary beverages, but it’s not – it’s still just a soft drink,” said Margo G. Wootan, Director of Nutrition Policy at the Center for Science in the Public Interest. “It has this aura of healthfulness that is not deserved. Adding vitamins and minerals to junk food doesn’t make it healthy.”

My tip folks...a green monster will do you 100000000 times better and provide you with 200000000000 times more nutritional value..these drinks are fine as a treat but dont get sucked into the marketing ploy
